I recently picked up an entire dash off of ebay for $10 from a 1LE , the racing package that had blocked off vents (with the exception of the two up top in the middle) and no a/c . Anyway, this thing came somewhat damaged. Their are cracks near the gauge cluster and on the underside of the dash. At any rate, im considering this a minor loss as my existing dash is not completely fubar, ( still can be used, but don't want to go through the trouble.. was only 10 bux) just does not have any vents, and dust collects in them consistently. Question is, does anyone know of a place that sells some type of vent covers ? Or if not that, anyone know of a place that sells fairly thick ABS plastic so that I can make my own ? If not.. has anyone else taken up on this venture ?

( I checked my local car audio joint where I got the ABS for my deck, but it is thin and fairly flimsy)

 

I doubt that anybody sells vent covers. The 1LE dash (also found in every no-option thirdgen that didn't come with A/C) just hasn't had the knock outs removed in that area. It's not a separate piece of plastic covering the opening, it's all one molded piece.

 

Does anyone know of a place that sells thick ABS plastic ? ( online preferrably)
