82 firebird t tops

I gotta question my cousin just picked up an 82 firebird and i noticed the t tops hold downs are different than my 87 iroc iwas wondering anyone else no about this or are these aftermarket ones my 87 wont on them...............

Transmission: TH400 4,000 stall

Axle/Gears: Currie 9", 4.56 gears

It's just an earlier design, I've got the latch type instead of the pins also.

Can you transfer them over to the new style if you have all newer style parts
