Changing T-top locks

My girlfriend has an 89 Camaro with those plastic t-tops on it. They're cracked and she wants the ones off of a parts car that I have. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to change the locks in them and also where I can get some weather stripping before I change them over. thanks

Weatherstripping is available from the dealer, year one, junk yard etc.

Remove the handle. Mine has a torx bit screw in it.

Remove the 3 screws holding the black plastic cover to the bottom of the t-top.

Drill out the 2 rivets holding the metal shield by the face of the lock.

Remove the clip from behind the lock and remove the lock.

Replace in the reverse order. I used rivets and replaced the shield, but the shield isn't necessary, so you wouldn't have to re-attach it.

Good Luck!
