Installing suicide doors on a bird!!!

Hey,
I'm cuztimizin' a bird. And AUTO LOC sells suicide door mounts for all car bodies (with fabrication required, of course). what do you think? The car will probobaly be (may change down the road) white, with white walls and smoothies. Lowered, shaved badging and handles. And of course, old school V8 power.

No white walls. I don't really like suicide doors on thirdgens, but whatever floats your boat.

smoothies are NOT wire wheels!! I'm not putting wires on a third gen. Smoothies are old style hot rod rims that are solid chrome with NO wires. Come on people, you folks should of known that one.

I don't understand why someone takes a 4x4 and lowers it. What happened to going off road or towing, the original reasons for 4x4 trucks? Hell, I had always wanted a '79 Ford f-series with a 429 (because a 440 dropped right in, like 305 to 350) and 38" Super Swamper TSL's via a Rancho lift kit.

But then I saw my Firebird... speed is much more fun. Especially around Jersey; they're putting houses up everywhere and leaving no where for going off road anymore.

I agree with ya bro... kind of a shame that the world is full of people with such ignorance, immaturity, and stupidity. Perhaps they dont possess the knowledge to have a normal conversation and express their opinions, so they just scream 'rice'. Extremely lame if you ask me.

Well the truth hurts, but if you like ricers well then GOOD FOR YOU! This is a website for American cars, I bet you guys probably think that putting a Wing on a camaro is cool too, or putting a muffler extension to make it sound like a flying lawnmower is just the neatest little thing. "Hey guys lets go put these HKS Preformance exaust stickers on the side of my car it adds 10 hp"

CAMARO82, how in the hell can you even consider suicide doors being '*****'?? Might want to go check your definition of rice (or grab a crowbar and pry your head out of your ***), cuz the only time i ever see suicide doors are on classic roadsters and such, not on civics and celicas. Next time think of something intelligent to write before hitting the Submit button.

wheels on the black 82

GhostRider84, the wheels appear to be the original turbo finned rims with silver bowling ball hubcaps .... they look quite smart actually, gotta admit.

Hey lets just all calm down here shall we. I have no problem with people adding wings and and loud mufflers to their import cars. It's not my style. I just don't like it when they think they have a fast car.I'm putting whitewalls and smoothies on my custom becouse that's who I am. I like old school stuff. I'm lowering the car with an intrax kit, and I'm putting a blown 283 64 corvette engine it. I'm shaving the body(handles, moldings etc) and I'm painting it white. I don't expect everyone to like it. But hopefully people will realize how much time effort and money has went into it when they see it. I'm not doing this half ***#d. I've removed every nut and bolt from the front to the firewall. Once I have enough time I'm going to continue to remove everything else. And then onto the paint shop it goes. I didn't want to build a firebird like everyone elses, I wouldn't be satisfied with it If I did that.To each his own. Thanks for your opinions, and yes, whitewalls do belong on a t bucket. That's exactly why I'm putting them on my firebird.

If you can please post pics. I would love to see what that looks like. I would also look into putting a fiberglass front end that the whole front end fold foward. I think that would complete the custom look.

I wish I could post pics. I don't have a digital camera, and I have no clue how to do it anyways. I'm lucky to be able to turn this computer on. I'm not computer literate at all. The fiberglass clip sounds awesome, I never even thought about that. Right now the project is at a stand still (almost). I'm trying to sell another car of mine, and I can't really spend any money on it (the firebird) until I get something out of the car I'm trying to sell. Anybody wanna buy an awesome 1959 Dodge??Thanks for your interest bravo, not too many seem to be for my ideals.

I dont think you'd make a camaro sound like a flying lawn mower just cause u put Import exhaust on it! And... our cars came with wings, spoilers, same thing.
Oh yeah, One more thing, this thread is gonna get locked because of the flaming, so...
GUESS WHAT?!?!?!?

I know you guys are all flamin and all but did anyone ever think about how suicide doors would work on a 3rd gen???? Think about how long the doors are and the fact that the seats are twards the back of the doors, you would have to open it up a full 90 deg just to get in, and with a 4ft long door that could be a big problem whether your in the garage, parking lot..... sorry I think they are cool on old cars but I think it would be a PITA on a third gen
