Hey what do you guys think about the new tach? I like it other than it lights up so bright at night time, i have to use my dimmer switch to turn it down. It lights up the whole car.

looks good, cept for the placement of the tack itself....why did you decide to mount it there??? anyways to each their own, if thats where you like it then thats where it should stay...but otherwise its really nice!!

ps it would look better with a larger close up of it!!

its too big to mount anywhere else, the only other spot i could of put it is on top of the dashboard and i didnt really want it to be out in the open that much so i put i down there, i think it is a decent spot, ill get a close up for you...

my reply was in no way a diss towards you or your car..ive just never seen a tach there..(it just makes more sense on the dash that way you dont have to strain to see it) but once again thats imo so..anyways, looking forward to the up close and personal pic...

thats where Ive got mine mounted. just used the bracket that came with the tach, screw the two screws right into the plastic. only problem is they have loosened up a bit and it moves around a little. Im afraid if I try to tighen the screws anymore they will just strip right out of the plastic. next time I have my dash apart Im going to pull the center air ducts and use short, small bolts with nuts on the back side. might even put a piece of sheet metal in there just to make sureit doesnt pull out or move around any.

Yeah that is how i mounted mine too, used the bracket that came with it and just pre-drilled a small hole for the screws that way it didnt crack the plastic.. they seem tight now but im sure they will loosen up eventually like texas LT1 said. My tach cost 190 bucks from summit, only thing it dosent have is memory which i really wish it had but oh well.
