how do I get this crap off...

I was wondering how to get off some gasket maker off my fender with out harming the paint. Some accidently got there after making the gasket for the intake and it won't come off. Any suggestions? Thanks

Eric

Is it a thick blob or a thin smear? You could always try a razor blade, very carefully... have you tried bug & tar remover and your fingernail?

You can also try lighter fluid. It breaks down the adhesive agents and will not harm the paint.

Thanks for the idea guys. It is too thin for a razor. I will try lighter fluid. Sounds good. It is now dry and hard but it is thin.
