rear view mirrow

My rear view mirror has fallen. The metal mounting bracket has fallen. I've tried to glue with super glue but no success. Any suggestions on what to use to remount the bracket on the windshield?

There is a special glue for that, it comes in a little kit with cleaner and stuff. Its available at almost any auto store.

Yeah. There's a kit with 2 tubes, 1 is an activator and the other is the glue.

Remove plate from mirror. There's usually a small screw holding it on. Before you try to reglue the mirror, make sure the glass and the plate are completely clean. Use a razor blade and alcohol, and avoid touching the glass and the side of the plate that goes on the glass. Rub the activator on the glass, wait 2 min. Put a few drops of the glue on the plate, hold it on the glass for a few minutes. Once it stays in place, wait 15-20 mins, put mirror back on.

Real simple. Just did mine last week.

Any windshield shop will reglue your mirror on for you free.

the local glass shop charges $4 to reglue the mirror. supposed if i hunted around, i could probably find one that would do it for free.

never had much luck with the auto-parts store mirror glue kits, mirror always seems to fall off the windshield a few weeks after being reglued. by comparison, after mirror is reglued by glass shop, it often stays in place for a few years without any problems.
