Help! I am in need of a dash/ console swap in my 1982 Firebird.

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!! I have a 1982 Firebird. Its interior is trashed and missing many parts. I am having the most trouble finding the parts i need. the dash is fine(could use a new padded dash or cover) but my center console is cracked up and missing parts to it b/c of some A-hole stealing my radio and stuff. I need a automatic shift panel, a arm rest, radio/heater control panel, and whole bottom and upper console. In other words i'm gonna need a whole console. If there is anyone out there that has a 82-84 FIREBIRD complete console with all that i need i'll buy it from you as long as its in good condition, faded is ok its nothing a lil bit of paint or polish won't cure. OR BETTER YET...Does anyone know if a 85-92 center concole would fit in my 82 firebird? Would the heater/ radio pod attach to the 82 dash or would I have to get a 85-92 dash as well? I could really use the help. Send me a word or reply to this. You can also Email me at DLTrahan83@aol.com or at BayouLoverboy69@yahoo.com . I would appreciate this yall. Since the f-bodies are not being made anymore I wanna keep these babies rollin 4 ever.

I'm not familiar w/the 82/84 style birds but I don't think you can mix and match--not really sure tho.
I'm doing a swap on my 86--I'm putting in a 92 dash-complete--and I have an 89 dash skeleton w/radio pod and center console to sell--if you'd want to do that much work. Give me an e-mail if you're interested-Trodz1@ptd.net.
i'm in Pa-so I'm not sure if the dash would be expensive to ship.

Since you have to replace anything, i would suggest doing this, a little more dough, but it'll be worth it!

Us Camaro guys have the "one peice aw well, and i used a 4th gen console and a 85-90 Firebird pod (which needs mounting) in there. Just some thoughts...

That 4th gen console looks great, good job matching it up, Just wandering, ist that a straight shift console in an auto car, I't kinda looked like that, I've heard the aut console is hard to get in, is this right, I'm looking at the local Junkyards for one in good shape. I have an auto car which console should I get. I have a f-bird so I already have the pod.

One suggestion on yours, I would dye the pod to match the console.

you need a manual console, or if you find a auto console, you can use it too, but you have to unbolt your shifter, re drill new holes and monut it farther (left or right, can't remember which) but it can be done.

I might not worry about mounting the pod, cuase i might get a 93-97 Camaro Dash, haven't made up my mind yet...
