Taking rear seats out...can I modify floor boards?
I will be taking the rear seats out...and will be installing a 8 pt roll bar....i will also running a true dual exhaust using Dynomax Bullit mufflers....with the rear seats out..the big dips in the floor boards that were formed to the seats really bug me....is there anyway I can cut these sections out and just put a straight peice there....and maybe give me a little bit more clearance under the car for the mufflers? Also im thinking i could raise up the section in the floor boards where the rear passengers would normally put their feet.

after taking a quick look...looks like modifiying the rear seat area wouldnt provide any type of clearance...the frame rails are further down than them (but they still look like crap...oh well)....but the area where the rear seat passengers would rest their feet would provide a LOT of ground clearance for the exhaust if it were raised up.....at the last resort I can just beat the crap out of it with a sledge hammer until i get the clearance i need...but id rather cut it out..and place a new peice of steel there...is this possible?

Yep, its possible, I take it you are going to race this car? If you are putting the cage in yourself just cut out the old sections and weld in sheet metal shaped anyway you want.
Just rember if you are raceing this car to check with track requirments on gage. Also seal the seams up with seam sealer incase of a exhaust leak. Also rember that at speeds around 100mph the airflow under your car can greatly effect the handeling of the car. Too much in from the bottom and then back down for the rear will tend to lift the car up and make it lose. This is not too bad when dragging but on a road course you will go rear end to the wall.
While you are doing this, go ahead and make the mounts for a drive shaft loop, just about all tracks require them now around here. Where if you break you drive shaft it just falls out harmless instead of digging in and flipping the car over.
