Weatherstripping in general can be no fun, the weatherstripping adhesive is very messy and can get everywhere. I haven't done my doors, but I've done the whole t-top kit, and the hatch. Make sure you've got the right adhesive (3M makes one, I can get the part number if you need it), and get 3M's adhesive cleaner as well. Not only does it clean the surface you're working on, but if you spill any or make any messes, it will clean that up too.
My suggestion, get the weatherstripping, take your old one off, clean it up with the 3M stuff, and then just lay the old one on to get a feel for how it should fit. Then go back and do it a section at a time. It helps to have another person work on this with you. They can apply the adhesive, while you set down the weatherstripping, or vice versus.
I don't want to discourage you, it isn't terribly difficult, but it can test your patience because you only have a small window of time to work with before the adhesive makes a mess or begins to set. Also, space can be very restrictive in some places. For example, the t-tops weren't that big a deal, but doing the hatch seal was very difficult up on the top, where the hatch glass was in the way of my work.
Good luck.
