Steering Wheel & Headliner

Anyone know where I can get a new steering wheel for my 82 Z28 at a reasonable price (less than $400)? Also, t-top headliner is literally falling apart. Is it possible to get a complete replacement headliner and install it myself, or should I have the whole thing done by a pro?

I agree with Igotslicks in both regards.

I looked through the tech articles, I only found tips on headliner repair, I'm looking for a complete replacement. I'll check again. Both of you guys are right, Grant looks good, thanks.

I'd check the yards for a replacement. I removed mine and had it recovered for $80.

Year one sells all the stuff for headliner replacement, pretty sure they even have the boards. There are plenty of aftermarket wheels out there for a reasonable price. If you want to go stock, check with the sponsors for used wheels, also check with House of Camaro. If you have the leather covered wheel, you can get those recovered for around $200, or maybe cheaper locally.

Year One shipped a complete headliner to the UK for me.

Fitted well and looks great.

I got mine brand new from Year One pre covered. It was made of abs plastic instead of the regular...whatever they made it out of. Mine was a t-top $199 plus $33.00 shipping. Fairly straight forward to put in with a helping hand.

This is a very different idea for ya. My car is a Dodge Daytona I wanted restored. My husband took on the task and instead of paying $$$$ for a new headliner. We took the old one out and removed the "falling" cloth. He then repaired the rips (in the board) and covered the entire board with resin. Once it dried, he painted it black w/ a dodge emblem in the center (in silver) and added cool looking effects with the silver. It is a definate conversation piece for anyone who looks in my car. Its really wild! We are now restoring an 85 Z28 with T-tops. We have ran into the same problem and we definatly know how we are going to fix it. Its a fairly cheap solution!
