anyone interested in a ram air hood or the other style hood that hawks distribute??

im asking cuz im looking for my new hood and a group purchase will help me alot...

i dont think hawks offers a "turbo hood" ill go and check but im not really sure that they do.. if they do then cool but im not sure..

well ASCD doesnt seem to want to reply to my emails or return a phone call so, if you get someone to actually respond, im in on a SS hood.

 

I'm looking for a ram air for a bird if the price is right, and they don't murder me with freight.

 

i just emailed them..

i told them that we were looking for a group purchase price on hoods, and was wondering if they do that..

i will hopefully get a response back soon, but im taking "orders" of possible buyers until next saturday august 17...after that this will be over cuz he will have all the info he needs to see how much each hood will be and the group price if he can do it...

I think the Ram Air 1 looks best on the firebird. It is the hood that Red Raif has on him right? How much is the hood and how much is the shipping? If the prices are right, I am in.

You might want to contact ASCD direct, they may help you. As well, I need to make sure this will fit with the SC so that might be soemthing you want to look at for all the different people interested.

I posted earlier about getting an IROC Turbo hood, obviously, I have a Camaro. I just got a good price quote on a paint job, so I'm DEFINITELY IN for the hood. The sooner, the better.

 

That turbo hood is HOT! I'm in.

 

I want a Ram Air II hood for my '86 Trans Am. Depending on price, I'll definately go with you guys on this one.

HUGE NEWS!!! i got off the phone with thunder racing and a gp is set up with at least 5 people ordering. they said they will give us 10% off the hood, (ss hood thats gonna be 47 bucks). not a huge huge huge deal but hey its money that you dont have to spend. post here if interested, angie from thunder racing is waiting my return reply call to see if it will be good for everyone. (incase your not good with math a 400 hood gets 40 off, 410 is 41, and so on)

come on people, dont ask for people to hold your hands. your not babies, he didnt start this group project with thunder, i did. and if you want to know if they have the ram air hood look on thunders site, if they have it, the more than likely will have it listed with every other ASCD hood. anyone actually have the money and is willing to do this, not just window shopping?

 

Read above HE started one with hawks. Seperate from the one you started with thunder. Whoever it is I am ready to buy, but he!! it seems like it is a lot easier to pay full price, which is what I am about to do.

When is this Thunder Racing GP over? I'd like to compare it to the Hawk's GP price. With the 10% off from Thunder, the IROC Turbo hood is $369 plus shipping. Not bad at all. Hawk's list price is $389. IROC2NV, what's the word from Hawk's on the GP? I'm going to order from Thunder by the end of the week if we don't hear anything on the Hawk deal. I need the hood so I can get my car painted.

 

Im in the same boat as BuckeyeROC. I need to get the car painted before I get anything else done. Oh well, it's only twenty bucks

How much would it cost to paint one of these hood.......rough estimate.....same color as car????

I work on a budget so i would need to know beforehand.....

Redraif's is a Suncoast hood, not ASCD. The Suncoast has the functiona lairbox, wheras the ASCD does not. The appearance of the scoop (location on the hood) is a little different, too...ASCD is further back.

well here in canada i think painting just a hood with a traditional colour(red black white etc) costs about 300-500 bucks so like 300 max for you guys....and it also depends where you go to have it done and what type of paint and blah blah blah.. get a few quotes b4 you do it..thats the easiest way..

i myself am just getting the whole car painted again with the hood on it so itll be cheaper in the long run..
