I am just about to fire up a 1991 RS Camaro that has not had a battery or battery cables (or engine or gearbox or wires....), for a long, long, long time. So the dash is still a bit of a mystery! I have not got an owners manual, so do not know some of the features.

Before my new engine, gearbox etc, get tested, could someone have a look at the picture and fill in the blanks (or correct any).

Secondly, when the key is turned to the RUN position, I get the security light on (for a short while), the airbag light flashes and goes off (so all okay), what else should come on? Is their an alternator light? All the gages seem okay.

I don't think anything goes in that area you are unsure about. I had a 92 RS 305TBI Automatic and there wasn't anything in that space. Hope this helps.

 

That's all that should come on........The airbag light and security should flash a couple of times and then go off.......

I've NEVER seen an Oil light on my car before so i have no idea about that....

Also NOTHING goes in the space on the left you were wondering about.....

 

I'll just go ahead and fire it up then!!
