Trans Am Dashpad....More than one???

Hey guys I have this dashpad from either an 85 or 86 TA. The speaker covers on it are removeable. Every single dashpad ive seen for sale on eBay doesnt look like this one. I checked the dashpad on my 85 TA and it doesnt match this one either. It has the speaker covers moulded into the dashpad and its all one piece. Anyone have any info as to what the deal is with this different dashpad I have here???

You have the 82-84 dashpad. They have removable speaker covers and are more prone to cracking. The cracking and the three year only production is why you see very few of them.

I messed up. They all have removable covers, the older have no edge around the grills, and a line cut out of the front. I have both. I realized i screwed up after i posted and hoped in my car. I have a newer style in my car now. I'm saving the older style one i have beacause they are way more prone to cracking, and with a stick car, it has little chance of surviving.

I think i may be mis-understanding your question and what you have.

Did'nt the Camaro's have a one piece pad without removable covers?

Well the dashpad I have now from my 85, the speaker covers are felt with a plastic trim ring around them. The other one appeared to be all plastic and looked like it was all one piece.

Or at least the one in my 89 does, and my 92 had the same.
