Driver seat wont sit foward as far as i need

I layed my driver seat back today, and when i went to let it back up, it wouldn't go up as far as normal. When it's up as far as it can go, i'm riding "ghetto"...i can barely reach the wheel. How can i fix this? thanks.

I had that happen a few times on my firebird I can normally get it to go back up by doing this:

-Lay the seat all the way back, it should touch the back seat.

-Without pulling the adjuster up, pull the seat up like you are getting in the back seat.

-Pull the adjuster handle up, It will make a loud pop, but when you pull your seat back (with adjuster handle down) it should stop at the first notch.

Of course I am 6' tall so I sit leaning back some anyways :-)

Hope this helps if not, you will probably have to take the seat apart and fix it, I have no idea how to do that though.

Just buy 4th gen seats and solve the problem!! J/K It may be something with the lock on it. When you slide your deat front to back, is there alot of movment? I get about 2-3". I have yet to take the seats out to clean as it is but maybe it is normal?
