side ground effects.

I'm putting on ground effects from a '85 t/a to my 86 firebird. and, on the side effects, there is a little "leaf" that comes out from under the door that allows you to screw the ground effect into. my firebird doesn't have this "leaf". How would you go about taking it off the t/a to put onto my firebird? also, how would you go about repairs cracks in ground effects?

Those have sheetmetal screws and spot welds holding them on.Without them the rocker pieces would have no support.
