black t top bar

When I take my t tops off there is a divider between the two sides. This appears to be held in by three screws on each side. This bar seems to have rust and I would like to take it out. The problem is that I cannot seem to find how to remove it. I take the screws out, but the bar does not want to go. Any help on how to get this bar out would be great. Is it one piece? Thanks

I think there's 5 screws on each side, the very front and back ones are probably under the weatherstripping. And it was installed by the factory with sealer, you'll have to pry it some. Be careful!

Yeah, I think GM still carries them, talk to Dal Slabough at Vandevere Olds for good prices, service, shipping.

You can low-ball the dealer to sell it to you GM wholesale price of just above $83 otherwise you'll pay retail of $110ish. GMPartsdirect will sell it for $65ish but shipping will bring it close up to GM wholesale.

hey thanks for the info on the t top because i have the same problem with mine and i was trying to take mine off but it wouldnt budge now i know that there are 5 screws. my t top leaks in 2 spots so i was thinking of taking of that black metal peice and where ever there is rust to cover it with silicon. what do you guys think. i gotta stop this leaking, my car is starting to smell moldy also in the rear of my car the water leaks in under the weatherstripping and pours into the rear little lockable storage box. any ideas of how to fix that? thanks a lot
