hood adjustment
hood adjustment
I've fitted a cowl induction hood from an '82 TA onto my '89 Firebird. The swap was easy enough, and the panel gaps are all good.
The only minor problem I have is that when the hood is closed, the curvature of the hood does not quite match the top of the fenders - it's a bit higher in the centre. I found that by adjusting the latch down as low as it would go, the hood straighted a bit, but still not quite enough. The hood itself has no damage (I've stripped it back to bare metal and found nothing), and the car itself has all the original panels.
It's not a major problem, and is not that noticable but I wondered if anyone had any advice to improve the fit before the car goes in for a respray next week?
Thanks
P
