Ok, got a strange one. I am assuming the rear hatch motor I bought out a junk year has broke. It wont pull down all the way, and cycles off and on. The storage/hatch light stays on also. So the mrs went to drive home, turned car on, the check engine light came on, she turned car back off, turned back on, still has check engine light. She heard motor kick on again, so she pulled the "LID" fuse, it stops running, check engine light went off.

Will the rear hatch motor cause the check engine light to come ??

And where is a place I can get a NEW hatch motor, with the plastic sliders?? I am getting tired of #$^$ with this hatch motor!!!

 

If the motor that pulls the hatch down is constantly causing problems just simply disconnect the power connection and remove the trunk light and that should solve the problem til you reach a electrician to fix that problem and no matter what you do for gods sake don't put the trunk light back in it will only drain your battery! .........been there done all that only I left the motor completely out on a permanate basis!
