engine code 43?

engine code 43?

my 305 tbi.......hey, i noticed my "service engine soon" light pop on today. so i tested the ecm, and i got code 43, the pamphlet i got from autozone does not have the definition of code 43 in the book. does anybody have the definition of this code? let me know. thanks.

it says its the Electronic Spark Timing (EST) Circuit - low voltage detected ... what the hell is that?

Usually these fault codes are caused by a wiring problem.One quick one to try is the wire leading form the knock sensor.As this is on the side og the block it could easily have become burnt or damaged.Make sure it is good condition and away from any other leads such as spark plug leads

The knock sensor is usually on the passenger side of the block,just above where the sump(oil pan) is bolted on.The ESC is usually found under the engine bay next to the brake servo

hey, do i have to get under the car to get to it? any pics? i need to know what it looks like. wheres the brake servo ??
