Replacing Front End
Replacing Front End
Need opinions here. Im replacing the front bumper and both side fenders on my 88 camaro. My question is, will i be able to do this in my gargage, or is this something best left to body shop. if i can do this, what do i look out for, hidden bolts, etc. Thanks in advance for responses. Any advice is welcome
Not too bad, not too easy
I replaced my front bumper & front spoiler and it took about 5 hours with 2 people w/o any breaks. You need very small hands and some PBR blaster to spray on the bolt before you loosen them or be prepared to spend alot of time trying to loosen them. Then again it was the first time doing this and if your doing this for the first time just be prepared to spend some time otherwise its not too bad.

I replaced the front bumper cover on my '83 T/A by myself. It took probably 4 hours total over the course of two days. If the car isn't a daily driver, then i'd say it's definitely do-able in a garage....I didn't have that luxury. Good luck, and be patient.
