Driver side lockbox getting wet
hi i am having a problem with my driver side lock box, as you can see in the subject line Anyways i took the paneling out and checked for rust holes to see if thats where the water could have come in but there was nothing. Inside the lockbox there were papers and everything and they all got destroyed. Maybe my hatch leaks a bit and it runs into there? What can i doooooooo other then getting new weather striping if it is the hatch. THANKS

I recently found out that water was leaking into that same spot! The water was sitting in the little well behind the rear wheel, and had started to rust!! Whatever you do.. try and find how the water is getting in.. fast! Someone told me that their car was leaking and the water was getting in from the fuel filler area somehow??

most likely the hatch weatherstripping glue has wore out..
go through all of it and make sure the rubber looks good and if it does keep ot on there and just reseal the rubber onto the body with black silicone... try the cheapest way first to fix the problem..
