88 Formula dash into 84 Trans Am

I want to swap the complete dash assembly from an 88 Formula into my 84 Trans Am. I need to know what all needs to be changed over. The Formula was an L-98 and the 84 was an LG4 car. As I said, everything will be swapped. The dash assembly itself, gauges, climate controls. Everything. Will i be swapping over the complete dash harness, or can i reuse the 84's dash harness? Anyone whos done a swap like this, please give me any tips you can. Thanks in advance.

Since people can swap dashes from a 4th gen, I would guess that a 3rd gen to 3rd gen swap is even more simple. The only snags I could think of is the speedometer. My '84 has a cable driven speedo up to that sissy 85 MPH. If your new dash has the 125 or 130 MPH or whatever it is, you'll probably need a new gear for the transmission so it reads the correct speed. I would even wager to guess that the dash harness would wire right up since all the guages are the same. I'm no expert and I'm sure there are some people here who know more about it than I, but it all seems to be pretty straight forward.
