My 84 Z28

Heres my 84' Z28 H.O. I just baught this car about a month ago for $700 bucks. Here are some photos. The Engine compartment looks very disorganized, it seems as though theres wires everywhere, not sure if thats the way these cars are, but it seems a little excessive. Still the car runs really good. It has newly rebuilt Turbo 350, with a brand new rear end. The motor isn't perfect but like I said it still runs pretty good. As far as I can tell it's bone stock, I plan on dropping in a 350 sometime this year. But heres my first car, i'm gettin some satisfaction out of this because i actually paid for it on my own, and I'm gonna make this thing nice and respectable. Lemme know what you guys think.

Can I get some close up pics of the rocker emblems and rear bumper emblems? I am trying to restore a 83 L69 and am trying to find and get replacement sticker(I hate that word) This would be a huge help...

Love the seatcovers! I just bought a '84 Z28 H.O. this past May, except mines black. I lucked into it, I went to a car show, saw and bought it within minutes-fell in love as soon as I saw it. I even had to get him to drive me home b/c I had never, ever driven a standard. The previous owner practically never even drove it- only to the store on nice days and then it would sit in the garage. It still has EVERYTHING orginal (including the paint which looks new cuz it's so bright and shiny) except for an alternator I had to put in this summer. I'm looking for seatcovers b/c I don't want to wear the seats so I'm thinking of calling AutoZone (can't do it online-I'm in Canada)

Good luck!

How did you get my car? Nice looking 84. I started with an lg4
in mine, and have been slowly upgrading everything for the last
couple of years. Well have fun customizing it and driving it .

I paid 850 for mine....where are my grid taillights..... i feel so ripped off... lol

sure it's not an 85'? (according to the tech data, that's when they put in the grids)

It's so easy to change the tail lights.. why would you think its an 85 because of the tail lights, when everything else about the car says its a 82-84 Z28?

2 reasons....
Number A.
I thought it was funny, cause I don't have them, but our cars are almost identical otherwise, and i paid more... Bad joke or wrong audience i guess.
and B
I can't off hand tell the difference between 45, and 85 cars, without seeing them side by side.

So there you have it. Bad jokes and utter ignorance
