i tried to put my phone in between the console and Ebrake but it fell right through, the nokia 8160. anyways i actually have a car phone from the dealership installed in my car right on the right side of my radio. The phone no longer works but i just left it in there cuz of all the looks i get heh

mabey my phone (nokio 8290 the small blue one) doesn't fall throught because i have a leather case over it. Maybe you should get a $10 leather case instead of a tacky (no ofence)phone holder.

Same exact thing. It doesn't slide out no matter how fast you turn. Works really great.

cell phone magnet
i got a present from one of my friends.. its a magnet made to stick to a surface and your cellphone sticks to it .. its circular, black and about 1.25 inches in diameter.
i stuck it on the dash beside the steering column.. you dont even notice it, so its not an eyesore... but you could mount it wherever the hell you wanted.
i have a nokia 8360, and every phone i've tried on it works like a charm, and it sticks like no tomorrow... plus it DOES work with .. ahem.. aggressive driving.
the magnet doesn't damage anything or scramble any memory or anything like that.
it cost 7 dollars canadian and he found it at A&B Sound.. but im sure you can find them anywhere if you look in the appropriate places.

Unhooked Connections
Mine was bought used and has some terminated and unused couplings... I have no photos but one of these is in the flip up glove box console. I thought it was for an earlier styled cell phone, but maybe you guys can offer some insight. Is there normally a hook up in here I don't know?
Being a convertible, I can see some electrics not being used (interior lighting is limited to dash, so I carry two flashlights!!)
There is a round circle cut at the back where the cable(s) enter.
ODD
