Hey Man, I just bought one of the SS ASCD from Hawks too....and it's on my 1991 Z28 5.7 (L98) and is bad ***!! I still have to paint it though. Well....I had it on in about 30 minutes with the help of about 3 friends. What I suggest is to get a set of used hood struts. I tryed to use my factory ones, but there is WAY to much pressure in them...and I didn't want to crack my hood. So.....you might go to a junkyard and see if you can get a worn out set. They work really well on fiberglass hoods.

Well.....the only thing I had to drill was the holes for the spring....for some reason....my weren't drilled. The hood also has pre-drilled holes with taps and bolts to where it bolts onto your hinges.

The hood also has pre-drilled holes with taps and bolts to where it bolts onto your hinges. It really wasn't hard to align at all. Just leave some slack in the bolts....and lower it, then you can move it around and see where it needs to be bolted. You may need a couple of people to help though.....
