Before and After pics of '89 iroc repaint
What do ya think? It is my brother in laws '89 Iroc we repainted this past winter and summer. It was supposed to be a simple repaint until I realized there was 7 previous paint jobs already...all on top of the factory coat.So we stripped to bare metal and started over.New GM nose and rear bumper covers, pass fender, hood, all weatherstripping. The list goes on.Car had slight hood damage when he bought it but otherwise no major damage and not an ounce of rust..car is from florida.Next is his '86 Iroc ragtop and then my '82 Z28.Too many cars!!We did all the work in a 2 car garage.Painted it myself. The four years at the body shop finally paid off.:lala:

Car is still needing to be finished as far as a final buff and wax and decals to be put on.The small misc bull.Anyone know exactly where the Iroc decals go on the doors? Then order a set of polished wheels from thirdgen resource and she should look sweet. The color match looks screwy in the pics..as you can tell the pics arent the best.

Yeah..dont ask about the wheels subject
.While the Iroc was laid up I used those wheels on my '82 and had the mags on the Iroc but sold those and threw on firebird wheels I have left over from when I drove my T/A in the winter but never sold with the car.I have more wheels than cars. Can you say..*******??lol

hehe , that would be great, but it would be a little more than just shooting it. Not to much, but a little.
I was j/k about coming up on mon. but I'm sure you knew that. But hey I do get up there once in a while. I got family up in Schenectady. I think I spelled it right. Also in the catskill area(Hudson). Where are you at?

Thankx again guys..more pics as soon as I get the rest of the decals and stripes on.Yes that is the airdam that bolts on to the ground effect taped up,not the one under the rad support. After dissambling the whole car I got lazy and didn't want to remove that for fear of forgeting what bolts held it on.I had two drawers full of bolts and had to go off memeory to put them all back where they came from. That took a few days itself.More pics in a few days.So all in all it's a nice looking Roc now?Time to make it fast so she can play with the LS1 boys...
