Tail Light Fix

Hi guys. Has anyone ever taken apart their tail lights? Look in my picture below and you'll see why I want to do this. The "grid" pattern is coming away from the outer shell and looks like crap. Since I am replacing my '84 lights with some '86 grid style, I want them to look good! I think I should be able to pop the two clips on the bottom and pull the light apart. Should I be able to use any old gasket maker to seal them back up? What kind of adhesive should I use to put the "grid" pattern back against the outer shell? Should I just use model glue? What do you all think? Anyone got a center section for sale while I'm at it?

TAIL LIGHTS

Been there tried that and its not as easy to pull that grid part out so it might be better to find the 91-92 tint style t/a if you can, and that style tail light you got is actually the 85' bubble style which I believe was used from 85' to 89' only that I can recall.
But if it works good luck!
