Hartop question

I have a 89 ttop Trans AM and want to convert it to a hardtop. What doner car can I use. I found a 82 firebird and 82 camaro. The hard tops look the same. The camero has a little drip rail, the firebird does not.

Will any 82-92 hard top work?

For the most part, hard top cars sell for less then t-tops. Why not just sell your T-top, buy a hard top, and use the extra money to make the hard top more toward your liking?

I mean... it sounds like a lot of work to take an option off a car this is considered to be popular.

I am building a race car. They cut the top off to build the cage and weld everthing fully. Put the top back on. Simple and lite after cutting out the bracing.
