Are left & right seat covers interchangeable?

I have a rip in the drivers seat and would like replace the seat cover with a stock one in good condition. Does the upper and lower seat covers need to come off of a drivers side seat or could the covers from a passenger seat work as well. Passenger seats are usually in better condition.

They appear to be the same. I've taken the passenger seat out, pulled off the skin and made a pattern from the old skin. It is symetrical.

yes, I am 95% sure they are, when I did my interior the first time, I ordered the material that was pre cut, and ready to install, they fit perfect, and there was no designation to right and left seat...

Matter of fact i believe most of our cars are like this, my 67 Riv 90 Riv, my dad's 92 & 95 Eldos are also the same right to left... I believe the only difference between the right and left seats are the trim, that covers the edges (whitch can be swapped) and the handle for the seat back recliner... but the covers should be the same...

in the case of my 90 Riv tho, there was some holes for the buttons on the right side of the pasenger seat, when i put the passenger cover on the driver side there was a hole there, but because of the center console, it was not even noticable untill you removed the seat. other than that, nothing... but again that was my 90 Buick
