Help with gauge needles!

I need a little help getting my interior finished,
i recently replaced my dash panels/gauges and while my interior was apart i decided to change all the light bulbs from orange to blue. I was putting in blue 194's behind the gauges to illuminate the neeles, but when i was taking the needles off, i freakin lost one!

then i read on here that you can shave the needles' orange off to make them glow the color of what the back lighting is.
Since i have to replace my one of my needles (and that probably means all of them) anyways i was wondering what years work that enable me to shave the needles? I have an 87 firebird with the two big needles for the speedo and tack and four little needles for oil, gas, etc... The one i lost was a little one.

Any info would be great and if anyone knows where i can buy the gauge needles, that would be appreciated!

This is really all I need answered:

what years of needles allow you to shave or scrap the orange paint off?

Needles

Hey dude, got your needles. I picked up all six out of a 92 FB at a local bone yard. They had plenty of 'birds out there this week. You're right, you might be able to scrape the orange off of the needle and it will probably "glow" the color of your bulbs.

PM me your address and I will send them to you.
