ahh crap, my speedo just kicked the bucket...

Didn't work at all today, haven't looked at anything yet, but assume the cable broke. Although I am kind of skeptical of a broken cable because the speedo was acting kind of fishy as of late. It would stick at 60mph every now and then and I would have to hit my dash and it would bounce back up to where it was suppose to be.

And, unsure if it is related or not, but now my car has a high idle, damn thing idles at about 1100 in drive and near 1800 in park.... bah.

Anyways, what do you guys think? Broken cable? Broken speedo? or Problem with cruise control?

if your car is a 89 iroc it will not have a seedo cable it will have electronic speedo and it will run through your computer

Actually, I do own a 89 IROC, 350. And I do have a speedo cable. The previous owner had replaced the tranny though, maybe that is why....

I thought that it was in 1990 that they went to the electric speedo not in 89.
