Convertible latch mechanism

Could someone send me a picture of the cable attatchment of the cable to the unlocking arm which allows the release of the convertible top from the taunau conver in 89 IROC. Mine is not connected and I can't figure it out from the service manual. My first convertible.

88 convertible release cable

Hi Lon,
After years of searching and waiting I finally got my 88 IROC convertible. I love the thing but it has a few details I need to take care of. One of these details is the convertible top release cable. For one thing, I have none

I don't even have the latch or the trim piece where it's supposed to go. I've looked around a lot and can't find these items. Would you happen to know where I could find one? I noticed on your web site you had the part for the 89-92 convertibles. You state they will not work for the 87-88. Why is that? Can they be modified to work? Thanks for your time.
