How to remove scratches in the interior plastic??
I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a good way to get rid of and smooth scratches in the plastic. The interior pieces are pretty good but a lot have scratches in them.
Thanks for the help.

Theres a paint o the market that will do a good job of that. It is somewhat scratch resistant. It costs like $7.00 a can. I have been told it takes about two cans to do all the interior plastics. I don't remember the name of the product though. Somewhere I might have the address of the shop that sells it. It's in Texas though.
The plastic GM used for the interiors was pretty cheap stuff...but using some assorted scotchbrite or drywall sanding pads of different grit can help get most imperfections out. I've always had better luck wet sanding the interior stuff.
Then head to the local Auto Paint and Body Supply store and pick up some vinyl / plastic prep, thinner, and some SEM vinyl / plastic dye. They can match any factory color from the interior RPO Code, and most can even put the stuff in small spray bombs for you. They also use an adhesion promoter for this dye, I've had good luck with it and without it.
The trick is to have the surface as perfect as can be, no dust etc. Then spray the dye on in THIN coats.
