91-92 nose on 86 iroc.. can it happen?

i am getting my car painted here soon and need some new psrts for the car. i like the GFX of the 91-92 3rd gens vs the 85-90's. im just wondering if the nose from a 91-92 will fit on my 86 iroc.

Yeah, it will fit....but why change the whole nose? All of the noses are the same from 1985-1992 IROC-Z/Z28/RS. The only difference from the apperance of your 86 Iroc front nose and the 91-92 Z28 noses are the bowtie grill and the ground effects.....the noses are the same....so..all you would have to do is change the grill and the ground effects.....that would be a lil easier then changing the whole nose...just a thought...

true.. that would be much easier to do. and i would if i just wanted the different gfx... but i had a booboo in the car a few months back and the nose of the car is all beat up. *not that bad.. but if im going to be painting the car, id liek to have it fixed*.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here but I thought I had heard that where the 91/92 gfx bolted up to the nose were different locations than the earlier nose so you needed the 91/92 nose for the 91/92 gfx.

I used the 92 ground f/x on a 89 rs nose. Bolted right up.

the 91-92 Z28 ground effects will bolt right up....as long as its a 1985-1992 Z28/Iroc-Z/RS front nose. I have done it many times.....
