hood and rear window struts, fbird +camaro compatibility
a third gen finally showed up at the strip-lot over here. Can't get parts yet but soon.
anyway, are the hood and rear window struts interchangeable between an 89 firebird and 91 camaro? I think they are but i'm not sure.
I'm tired of using a pole to keep the trunk and hood open

They'll all interchange, but some do have different strengths. For example, ones from a GTA with an aerowing will be much stronger than the lifts from a base model Camaro with no spoiler at all. Hood struts should be about the same, as I don't think hood weights varied that much.

Yes the struts do vary in strength from the factory. And the defroster equiped cars have grounds on both ends of the struts. They will work just as well in cars without the defroster.
