Bulb replacement on the HVAC controls

Guys,

How do you go about changing the light bulb on the HVAC controls? I've removed the trim and pulled the HVAC control unit out of the dash and can see where the bulb (only one??) is, but I can't seem to pry the connector off. Is that how it's done or do you go in from the front? If from the front, how in hell do you do that?

Any suggestions for replacing the bulbs in the damn stock radio/cassette? Do you have to take the radio apart? Argh!

Thanks!

Tremo...............The HVAC bulbs are located in the front.....at least mine are 1992 Firebird....they are those itty bitty tiny lamps we all hate to replace........take you a jewelers screwdriver (flat tip) and you will see the small indents on the top and bottom( like hold the unit in your hand in front of you and look on top and bottom or feel with ur fingers they are there ) take the small screwdriver and stick it inside and pop the cover off, same with the bottom, I used needle nose pliers to gently pry out the bulbs on mine to replace them...you might as well do all of them....4 if I remember correctly.......the cassette deck is the same way......now your pulling your hair out thinking what am I getting into, its just gonna take a little .....Patience.......Good Luck........
