Front end collision

I recently slammed into a Jeep Cherokee because he decided to run a red light.
Most of the damage is to the nose, hood and, passenger fender. The car still drives with just a little drifting but other than that, it seems fine. My question is; is it worth fixing?
At what point can you tell if the frame is damaged too much to even bother going on?
The insurance co. totaled it because the hood, nose and, fender cost upwards of three grand brand new and they assumed that there would be more damage, not to mention the labor cost. I have too many parts and time involved with the car and finding a 1991 or 1992 Formula is tough in the NY area. Any thoughts, opinions or, ideas would be helpful.

Thanks,

Scott

Take it to a frame repair/rebuilder specialist! Won't cost much or anything just to assess the damage.

is the frame bent? or are the body parts just all dented up? if the frame isnt bent just go to a junkyard and buy the parts you need, shouldnt cost that much, thats what i did.

My car was run into a ditch when I got it...I replaced nose and fender. I cut some of the mangled battery box and stuff out and made a headlight bucket from an 88 Oldsmobile one...When I first got it it pulled VERY hard to the passenger side. Since then I adjusted the toe and it isn't wearing out my tires anymore. the one tire is back farther by about 1/2 inch but it drives fine, doenst pull. Everything seemed to work ok for me!
