will 4th gen trunk panels fit into a 3rd gen

just wondering if 4th gen trunk panels would fit? thanks for any info you guys might have.

well thanks anyways maybe i can find out what the dimensions on the panels are and then measure mine and see whats up

the word on the boards for the last few years is that they will not fit. It's mainly an issue of the mounting tabs though (I think...not sure though). Why exactly would you want the trunk trim pieces out of a fourth gen anyway?

Why exactly would you want the trunk trim pieces out of a fourth gen anyway?

Because of the SPEAKERS!!! Well, that's why I would look into it. Not the subs, but the speakers mounted in the plasic above the wheels.

yeah, but its kind of a ****ty location though when u thik about it, flimsy plastic mounting. Why not put speakers in yoru plastic panels if u want them their?

Axle/Gears: 9bolt 4:10 in the T/A
get the rear plastic panels that have the location for the rear seat sholder seat belts. relocat the sholder belt of necessary and build a fiberglass or wood enclosure to fit in its plave. then mount components back there, and wala, you have good midbass.
