Have you tried a junk yard? The best resource for a non ac heater box are no-option V6 cars, which seem to be plentiful in junk yards.

The problem with Ebay is that people tag it as a 1LE heater box, which makes all kinds of dummies come out of the woodwork and pay 5x what it's worth. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised when you see what a junk yard charges, especially if it's a u-pull-it type of yard.

Jim is correct.....it doesn't have to be a 1LE box to be correct. Any non-ac car will work

Supply is low and demand is high...

$100obo shipped

automec,
$100 shipped is a good deal i think you should pick it up....it's cheaper than ebay right?? i just got mine off thirdgen.org for $100, and that's what everyone is paying. You can't argue with it around here in IL everything has been stripped and they're crushed pretty quick.

i found a el camino in the junkyard and i swipped the box outta it. Its a little small but with some metal work it will fit easily.

Guys, i may have just the source for those boxes. There is a junkyard by me that has 6-7 4 bangers and a bunch of v-6 low -options cars. I know at least 3 of the 4 bangers have the box, cuase i bought one and checked for the best there.

yes but i got all wiring, non-a/c controls, ducting, wiring diagrams(GM not haynes), etc. etc. Basically the heater core and blower motor too. I think I got a great deal considering how rare they are over here.

I have been to EVERY junk yard within 25-30 miles. Too many hours wasted and too much time driving looking since all junk yards "have them, come on in" until you get there and they have none or one busted up one that I wouldn't put in my car.
