Back Floor Soaked :(

I went out to go grab some food, and much to my surprise, my rear passenger floor board is a pond. the car is dry everywhere but the right rear floor board, and it is totally soaked. Any ideas, where my leak is ?

Do you have T-tops? Sagging doors? Rusty hatch hinges?

T-tops

I have T-tops, I forgot to mention that, but I don't have sagging doors, etc. This is the first time I have ever seen this happen.

Check out my thread for more info

Mine leaked in that exact same spot (as well as others). Water was coming in from 2 areas. When it was parked facing downhill, water collected in the hatch "gullies". i.e. the area where the hatch glass starts to raise up with the rear quarter panels (right at the side of the hatch struts bottom securing bolt). The hatch seal wasn't stuck down correctly so water was seeping underneath, dripping behind the plastic trim panel and running down the inner wheel arches into the area under the rear seat and going over into the rear footwell.

The other area it was coming in was right in the top corner of the door frame. See the thread above for a photo.

Both these leaks were undetectable until I stripped out the interior trim completely, put talcum powder all over the place and poured water over the car. You would be amazed where water was coming in!!

Good luck.
Andy.

If it is coming in the door window seal, there are adjustment bolts behind the door panel to move the window around to make it seal better...

might need to adjust the t-tops and push more on the weatherstipping to make a better seal against the window..

if that doesnt work, you might need to silcone the weatherstripping to the body.
