Console Clock

I was wondering if anyone knew of any company that could fabricate a new plastic clock facing. The clock is in a '83 IROC, and I'm gonna draft it into a '91, but not with a scratched up facing. So, if you have any info, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tony

Hey, I see you made it here! Welcome to the boards. I would also like to ask the phone number or web address for the company that has all the parts to these clocks? I think it was like the clock doctor or something?

About the clock

A long time ago i asked a question something like that and this is the response I got, I forget who wrote it.

You're in luck. I did some research a while back and found the only source for parts and service for these clocks. Originally made by Wesclox, the entire inventory of parts was purchased by "the Clock Doc" (800)256-5362. Bill is the contact. He may be able to repair yours or sell you a reconditioned one. He also can mill the face of the clock so it looks like new again. Good luck, Lon.

I never got around to restoring mine, though, so I never got in contact with the guy. If any of you guys get ahold of the guy let me know how it turns out.

My words come back to haunt me. Thanks for saving me the effort of looking it up again.

The clock in my 85 IROC didn't work. I removed it, blew out the innards with canned air, then shoot them with WD-40 and manipulated the hands. Several years have passed and the clock is still ticking. The face was scarred as most are. I simply used several grades of steel wool and a product called Soft Scrub (the name doesn't seem correct. The products I'm referring to is used on rear convertible windows, etc.). The lense cleaned up nicely, though not perfectly.

I used chrome polish and a buffing wheel to bring back the plastic covers. Unless it has VERY deep scratches, it works perfectly.
