entire 4th gen interior swap...
i did run a search and surprisingly only a few popped up and nothing too useful. How much "hacking" up of my car is involved in doing the entire 4th gen swap? seats, console, dash, gauge pod etc. is it something that can be done, and then undone years later? or does it require me to hack up my car to get the stuff to fit?
i have some ideas that i want to do for my interior with some 4th gen parts. when i do this.
Thanks alot.

seats will bolt right in, console bolts right in, but you'll have to cut your old console in half to keep the radio portion of it, door panels i believe you have to cut up the new ones a little, but you don't have to touch the old ones. dash, i have no idea, i believe you have to cut up the firewall if you want the hvac to work right.

if you're going to put the whole 4th gen dash in, then yes you can use the 4th gen radio. but if you're keeping the 3rd gen dash then you gotta cut the 3rd gen console, or i heard you might be able to use the 3rd gen firebird radio.
Yeah you can do it all. In terms of how easy iy is, I think the seats would be easiest, then console, the doorpanels, then dash. But yeah everything I listed can be swapped in for a new looking interior. There are some posts out there with good info and alot of links. Just try different searching terms. And keep in mind there are alot of style choices, styles changed from 93-97 and 98+. And Firebirds have a different style than Camaros. I dont know if you can mix and match. But I decided to go with 98+ Firebird interior parts (and a 93-97 guage cluster because those are the easiest to interface with our ECM). I thought it looked the best and had the most potential (replace A/C vents with guages, nice 5 and 1/4 speaker momunts in the door panels).
