where to get small quantity of custom paints??

where do you custom paint guys get your paints?? i am wanting something that can be sprayed through an airbrush (not paint gun), and in only a small quantity. im thinking maybe a pearl/ clear, or maybe a colorchanging type paint.

should i just check with local body shops? whats the smallest quantity they will usually sell??

thanks.

p.s. what would you use to cut teh viscosity of such a paint so it could be shot with an airbrush??

I wanted to get some for my car to do touch-ups and no one makes it anymore. I went to a paint supplier in town and they said that they could make me a pint (the smallest they would make) for $28.00. Kinda steep, but they said that it would be a perfect match. HTH

I paid less than $10 to have a small bottle of touch up paint made for my car at the local Dupont Paint distributor. It's the size of an aspirin bottle.
