that's right guys. i own two thirdgens now.
i bought an 84 z28. it has a 92 nose on it, i am replacing the 92 chin gfx with an 85 piece that i have, until i am able to put an 84 nose on it.
i paid $800 for it, needs a radiator, a really good cleaning, and a few interior pieces.
pics are attached, because netfirms doesn't allow hotlinking of the free accounts. if you want the full-rez shots, catch me online.

the vin indicates an LG4, which it still has.
odometer says 99k, and the title indicated 97k when the previous owner registered it last year.
original paint was dark brown, and will not be painted brown. i am also going to hold off on painting until i can replace the nose with an 84 z28 piece.
i'm open to suggestions as far as paint color.

the interior is brown.
i'm missing a shift ****, and a couple screws. i need a dashpad, as does my other car. could use a new steering wheel. also missing the t-top bag.
i want a paint that is going to go with the brown interior.
however, i just quit my job today. not a wise decision, i know. but it's something i needed to do.
i'm thinking white for paint when i go to paint it.
i forgot to add that since the car is pretty much complete, i may just keep it stock, and leave my sport coupe for the fast car.

Most people see that car and think a junked car.......
People on these boards look at it and see a car with potential.....
Looks like you got a alot of work ahead of you there, have fun with it...
Altough may i suggest steering clear of the brown interior...

sorry if i didn't clarify earlier. the car has brown interior, which is in relatively good condition. as it sits, the car shows 99,942 on the odometer. i'm going to hold off on painting it until i can put an 84 nose and gfx piece on the front, because it doesn't look right with the 85-92 nose for some reason.
when i do paint it, i want a paint that is going to go well with the brown interior.
one color i refuse to paint it is brown, the original color.
i've heard black, orange, white, green, burgundy, blue, gold.
since the car is pretty well-optioned, i'm going to leave it as-is, and eventually restore it.
i'll make a street car out of my red sport coupe.

change the color of the interior to black and you can paint the car what ever color you want... but it's up to you. personally i'm not diggin' the brown interior stuff sounds kind of poopie but it's your car...

well, i don't think anyone would WANT brown interior, and i kinda like it. plus, it has the power driver's seat. and it's also deluxe interior, with the striped seating, which is still in good condition.
i hated these seats intially because my sport coupe has the same seats in a charcoal color. they grew on me initially, and i decided that i'd be keeping them.
the brown seats are staying.
i haven't taken a chance to really clean the car out yet, i want to get it running right first.

i talked with jim85iroc about the possibilities of differing paint colors, and i'm thinking the car is going to be painted white.
i like the rims on the car currently, probably going to keep them.

The seats kinda look purple in that picture. Maybe that 4th gen purple color would look good on the outside. BTW, I like the nose that's on the car now.

ROb,
the nose looks weird because of the shorter 84 side gfx.
You know I have a spair set of 92 side and door gfx layin around for sale now. and the rear/side pieces. All you would need is a Rear bumper cover and a front nose gfx..

i wonder how the 92 pieces would look with that 85 front gfx? i still need to pull that 92 piece of yours off the car, and bring it over to you.
