i'd have to go take the cover off mine to look, but we just replaced both sides and the back in my friend's 92 s-10 (pissed a guy off at a bar when he kissed his gf's ***...long story), it was pretty simple tho, we took the door panels off and in the top rear edge of the window was a clip and the bottom front of the window is another clip (really gotta look for'em, they're in the track itself) i imagine it'd be a little different in a thirdgen because there's no window channel along the top. but we removed the bolts holding the window to the crank/motor and turned the glass toward the front of the truck. I'm not positive, but it *THINK* a thirdgen is unbolted from the bottom where the power window motor/crank attaches and then pulls straight up, and there are probally clips or guides that attach to the bottom of the window to keep it straight in the track but you probally won't have to worry about them until you have to take them off the old window and put them on the new window. Total time we spent on the s-10 was an hour each side (we removed the replacements in the junkyard and put them in his truck and it took an hour total) and involved only two bolts at the bottom edge of the window and the clips....i thought it was damn easy, i was scared going into it, but we figured at the worst we'd have to pay someone to do it, and he was dead broke so we gave it a shot, worst case scenario, you have to pay to get it swapped, best case you save yourself like $40. I say go for it man, it's not near as hard as it sounds, windows can take alot more stress than you'd think, and i think you'll figure out what i'm talking about if you just dig into your door and look at what's in there. hope this helps

I appreciate the feedback. I took off my door panels yesterday to clean my lock actuators and it looked like it should be pretty straight forward.
