Stop light on the hatch lid
Does anyone know what it would look like without that light, meaning has anyone ever removed it? If so could you share some pictures? I'm thinking about taking it out and filling it in smooth...

You'll have a couple holes in the glass. Fortunately, non-86 hatches are plentiful and cheap, so you could just swap the glass. But, keep in mind that it's probably against the law to remove the CMSL from a car that was originally equipped with it. Whether or not the inspection monkey notices is another story.
