You have to pull the cluster. They're in sockets that plug into the backside of the cluster. To get to them pull the cluster. It's a minor PITA.

Use a torx driver to take the face plate off the dash that covers the cluster. You'll probably have to drop the steering column. You can do that by removing the kick panel under the dash with a 7mm hex head driver. Once in there, there's 2 nuts on a bracket that you'll have to take off which holds up the column. Just take them off and gently let the column drop. The cluster is held into the dash by two 10mm nuts in the idiot light recesses on the bottom. Take those off and the cluster will pull forward. Reach your hand behind the cluster and disconnect the speedo cable, there's a clip you have to push towards the front of the cluster and then the cable will pop off. That's it, pull the cluster out of the car. You'll see the little sockets on the backside. Be careful not to damage that thin cheezy pc board. Pulling the cluster will take about 10 minutes.

There's a tech article here on this board about replacing the bulbs with LEDs, see that for pictures.

Cool. Thanks. I am assuming that this is the method for the '90-'92 dashes, right? I'll check out that article.
