gfx dent help

I got a full set of gfx off of an 88 trans am, but the front clip has a good sized dent in it that is about an inch deep. The problem is, it is right on the crease at the top. I have tried expoxy and a piece of metal on the back, while I push it out, but it just bends the metal. Can I use Bondo on this, or maybe some heat or something? I would appreciate any help.

I don't understand the problem. You can't dent the gfx. I take it the panel you want to mount the front gfx is what's damaged. A dent that's about 1 inch deep could be a severe dent. If it crosses a body line, it's severe. If it's a large dent that spans 1 inch, it might not be too severe. Hopefully what you have done to it hasn't made it worse. These dents can be removed in most circumstances, Sometimes, they are unaccessible and can't be gotten too, but the front fender is pretty much open. Get an estimate from a local Paintless Dent removal company. With the depth of this dent, ask for their best tech. He should at least be able to make it look better.

you need to apply heat the the urathane bumper in the area of the "dent", and then form it the way you need it, but the problem is you can almost never get it to look right. the other thing is, you can form the bumper with heat and use a flexable filler, but this will crack over time. your best bet is to get a new bumper, or a really good condition used one (no spyder cracks in paint because these will show through the new paint), and paint it the color you need.

good luck

Now I understand what's happening! The urethane has lost it's shape over the years and is sagging up front. This is common on cars that have been exposed to the sun and heat for prolonged periods of time. I would recommend a new one also. Godd Luck.
