We did it!! Not sure who #10 is, but it doesn't matter. It's really nice to see our efforts pay off like this. We got together and are having a part made for our cars that doesn't exist, and wouldn't exist without our efforts.

SR will get the cluster tomorrow, so we are on our way!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Grog, if PNW IROC dude send extra plane tickets, Grog bring back spare woman to rainy PNW? Not fair Grog keep all woman for himself.

C is for cookie, that's good enough for me!

Thanks for the link. I'll give it a shot once the cluster arrives. I also read on this thread someone asking if they will do heater and console inserts. If they do, could me in!

Grog, if women are very pretty and know how to cook, clean, and change street to race tires, Grog get Oreo double stuff's, and MILK! Please send pictures of pretty woman's stove, broom, mop, tool box, and floor jack.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway, here is something I found a few months ago. They make lighted needle kits. There are none listed for our cars, but they say they are somewhat universal. I've emailed them asking if they might work with our cars. The kits aren't cheap though. Same as what the overlays cost us.

And yes, I do know it's a **** site, so don't flame me!!!

Good work guys! We have them in development.

For anyone else that wants these in their car, you can still sign up for pre-buy at http://www.streetracerparts.com/reverse_style When the 4 weeks is up, they will have these listed in their regular products section under Chevy. TGO owns.

Alloy, you still getting that extra cluster for me?

Hey, a couple of people here have mentioned that it would be cool if SR motorsports made a reverse overlay for our heater control. I've emailed SR motorspaorts asking about this, but if anyone else is interested in these besides me, please email SR and tell them that you want these. The more emails they get the better!

I'd be happy to go find a heater control to send them, so please email them and maybe we can get these made also!

I am all for this and will e-mail them. However, we should be specific as some have A/C (like me) while others do not. I'll ask as I e-mail them.

Yeah Dan, I posted about that earlier. I have a spare heater control from my parts car with A/C on it, and would love to have reverse indiglo on it. Same with the auto shift plate. I'll email them as well.

Here is their reply to me...

We would need the a/c controls to be the same for the whole group. As for the shifter plates, we have never done one, so we would have to see it. Please arrange from one of the members to send one to us, so we can see if it is possible.

Thanks,

I got an email back today also.

"Yes, we could do that, we would need to see it to give you pricing. Send it as soon as you can as we are doing a big production on them now, and can squeeze it in with others we are doing, otherwise we will have to wait and do it on the next run, and I do not know when that will be.

Shaun

So, we now need to agree on what overlay we want. I have air cond, so obviuosly I want one for an air equipped car. From the email I received we need to send him a heater control fast. I can go look for one in a u-pull it yard around here, but if CaysE can ship the spare one ASAP, that would be much better. I can't be certain I'll find a heater control to send. Might take a week or two.

So, CaysE, since you have the spare heater control, can you ship it to them on Monday? Maybe priority mail?

Here is there address. If you send in the heater control, include a full sheet of paper stating that you want your part shipped back to you after they have completed the work on the overlay. Include your address and phone number. This is what they asked me to do when I sent the cluster in.

If you can't send the control, let me know ASAP and I'll go find one.

Yeah, I'll go grab the control box and auto shift plate as well, if anyone wants one of those. There aren't gonna be all kinds of fluids pouring out of it from the hoses is there???? I've never taken one completely out before. Will ship on Monday afternoon.

Great!! Glad you can ship it so quickly. I'd have to do the tour of wrecking yards to find one, so you have saved me a lot of time by doing this.

The heater control has no fluid connection to it at all. Just wires and vacum hoses.

...and one pain in the *** steel line for the hot/cold selector. I broke it off since I won't need it. Found out how to properly take it off once it was broken. Oh well... it's just an extra. Will ship them both out on Monday as planned.

Sorry guys... with the snow and other complications, I won't be able to mail out the parts until tomorrow. I'll see how much overnighting them will be so we can get this going. Gotta repay you bastards for getting the gauge overlays tooled for us.

Anything like that for an 85mph/140km speedo? Looks like my VW interior.

Speed,

Did you get the reverse indiglo gauges?

That is what we are doing here. Alloy and I did a lot of research on these for our cars (Camaros with the 145 mph speedo) and found no company that made them.

I just looked at the auction and I dont think they are the same. Does anyone know who made these?

The company we are using has made many of these, so we can feel good about having bought from them. Plus, I want my overlays to be brand new. The "insides" of the reverse overlays are prone to breaking from being bent. With the used ones, you might get some that dont work.

Just my thoughts on it. Thomas

Just to clear things up a bit, these that you are finding on Ebay or the regular indiglo overlays, where the whole thing lights up blue or greeen, showing the numbers in black. The ones that we bought in are reverse indiglo, where the just the numbers and marks light up, not the whole thing

Yes, they are from Ebay, however, they are not the reverse lights like the ones you posted which are. I have seen them on there many times from procarparts. And for $30 you will save $40 for other mods! I will head to ebay for mine(once they make them for the Camaro)!
